Frequently Asked Questions
 
What ages do you teach?
There are classes for different age ranges including preschoolers with caregivers, 4-8 year olds, and family classes. I am always looking to add more classes, let us know what you are interested in seeing offered.

What do we have to bring?
If you and/or your child has their own yoga mat they are welcome to bring it along. Otherwise there will be some mats available to borrow.

What should I/my child wear?
Comfortable clothes. Shorts, light pants, and leggings are recommended. Jeans are not recommended. Please do not wear skirts or dresses as we frequently look at the world upside-down. No tights as we need bare feet to prevent slipping.

Can I/my child eat before class?
We do not recommend a heavy meal 1-2 hours before class. However a light snack is okay.

Do I need to stay during class? May I stay and watch?
For the younger kids (5 and under) we ask for adult participation. Just remember to mind your body and play along as much or as little as appropriate for you and your child.

For the older kids (5 and above), you are welcome to stay and observe, although in our experience some kids do better when parents are not watching them. If you stay, please turn off your cell phone and refrain from talking and try not to “correct”  your child. 

I noticed my child wasn't participating, should I prompt them?
No. We do not force the kids to participate as long at they are not distracting/disturbing the rest of the class. Kids learn by observing as well as participating. Many kids may not be active during class-time, but will then re-create the poses on their own at home.

Where do you teach YogaKids classes?
Adrienne just relocated to Denver, Colorado. Her first series of classes will be at Harmony Yoga at Holly and Leetsdale. Let us know if you have another location you think would love YogaKids classes. You may also subscribe to the mailing list and you will be notified when the class schedule is available.
